Service Rules & Responsibilities

This service is intentionally simple, structured, and boring.
That’s how reliability, security, and peace of mind are delivered—without surprises.

Note: This is not for designers who want the cheapest option.

By using this service, you agree to the following operating rules:

1. What This Service Covers

We are responsible for the hosting infrastructure, not the website itself.

Included Responsibilities

  • Managed WordPress hosting
  • Free SSL certificates
  • Server uptime and availability
  • DNS management (see Section 2)
  • Daily host-level backups
  • Daily off-host backups (stored outside the server)
  • Automated WordPress core and plugin updates
  • Baseline security hardening
  • Initial site migration
  • Infrastructure-level support

If the server is online and WordPress loads, the hosting environment is considered healthy.

2. DNS & Domain Access (Mandatory for Migrations)

DNS management is included only under one of the following conditions:

  • We are provided full administrator access to the domain registrar
    with 2FA enabled, or
  • We register and manage the domain on your behalf

Important:

  • This level of access is required for all migrations
  • Partial access, shared access, or delayed DNS control is not supported
  • Without proper DNS authority, migrations will not proceed

This policy exists to:

  • Prevent downtime
  • Avoid misconfigurations
  • Ensure fast recovery if issues occur

3. What This Service Does Not Cover

We do not provide:

  • Website design or development
  • Debugging of themes, plugins, or custom code
  • Performance optimization related to page builders or bloated plugins
  • SEO, analytics interpretation, or marketing services
  • Email hosting support
  • Client-facing website changes

If an issue is caused by site content, plugins, themes, or custom code, it falls outside hosting support.
(Expert services are charged by the minute at a rate of $150/hour and must be requested.)

4. Updates Policy (Automatic by Design)

  • WordPress core and plugins update automatically
  • Updates are not reviewed or approved individually
  • Rollbacks are performed only if a site becomes unavailable

This approach reduces:

  • Security risk
  • Manual oversight
  • Emergency intervention

Designers or site owners requiring curated or delayed updates should use a staging workflow outside this service.

5. Backup & Restore Policy

We provide:

  • Daily backups
  • Off-host redundancy
  • Limited retention (for disaster recovery)

Restore Rules

  • One restore per site per month is included
  • Additional restores are billable
  • Backups are for disaster recovery—not version control or content rollbacks

Requests for specific dates, files, or content edits are not included.

6. Security Scope

Included:

  • Firewall and malware scanning
  • Login protection
  • WordPress hardening
  • Monitoring for common threats

Not included:

  • Manual malware cleanup
  • Incident response due to:
    • nulled plugins or themes
    • abandoned or unsupported software
    • ignored security warnings

Remediation beyond baseline protection is billed separately.

7. Access & Control

You receive:

  • cPanel access
  • FTPS access
  • Optional SSH access (if enabled on your plan)

You do not receive:

  • Root or server-level access
  • Custom server configuration
  • PHP or module changes outside supported environments

This ensures platform stability for all clients.

8. Support Boundaries

Support covers:

  • Hosting availability
  • Server errors (not caused by front-end code)
  • DNS or SSL issues
  • Migration-related problems

Support does not include:

  • Website layout or display issues
  • Plugin conflicts
  • “Quick fixes” unrelated to infrastructure

If the issue is not hosting-related, it is outside scope.

9. Migrations & Exit Policy

  • One migration into our platform is included
  • You may leave at any time—no lock-in
  • We do not obstruct migrations out
  • DNS access must remain available during transitions

We believe good infrastructure does not need hostage tactics.

10. Who This Service Is For

This service is ideal for:

  • Designers and site owners who value reliability
  • Teams who want fewer emergencies
  • Professionals who prefer clear boundaries

This service is not for those seeking:

  • The cheapest possible hosting
  • Custom server experimentation
  • On-demand development help

Final Note

Our role is to own the hosting layer completely so you don’t have to think about it.

If you want flexibility, this is not the right service.
If you want predictability, security, and fewer problems—this is your solution.
